About him
... I have time for anything and everybody; I suppose it is called retirement, even though I don't like the word: I am as busy as ever, the difference being that now I can choose what I do and who I see!
I have always travelled a lot, both for work and pleasure, preferably off the beaten track and have a passionate sense of adventure; in 2012 I spent 9 weeks travelling through India and 3 weeks scuba diving in Cambodia; my trip of a lifetime. I have a profound affection for Italy and all things Italian; I have been there many times and am learning its language.
I am now researching for a book in popular science; a project I started some time ago. If it gets published seems to be less important, I just love the process!
Music has always been a major part of my life; I grew up in a home with live chamber music and I played the bassoon in amateur orchestras most of my life.
I used to sail a lot, in the Baltic when in Sweden, and quite a few times in the Med; comfortable to skipper any boat up to 42 feet. In London I cycle a lot.
This means that I have widely varied interests; I can be persuasive in my views on subjects such as religion, politics and the way the world is going; I love a good argument and would love to meet a woman who is not afraid to express her opinions and challenge me in mine. And I can listen too!
I am a warm caring man and not afraid to express my emotions and am hoping to meet another free spirit; a soul mate and confidante - someone who cares about the world we live in and the people inhabiting it. A wry sense of humour would add to the attraction.
