I am a retired teacher originally from Portsmouth but now living in suffolk. I was married for over 30 years but sadly my wife died nearly four years ago.
I enjoy painting and writing, but I'm sorry to say I'm rubbish at both. I've also recently taken up tennis and table tennis, also struggling with these. My outside interests are the theatre, museums, exhibitions and galleries. I'm also keen to widen my interests and will often attend something completely new to me.
I know everyone says it but I genuinely believe that laughter is essential. As I get older I just feel that having fun becomes more important.
About his ideal match
I am not sure. I guess it's someone who has the same interests as me so we can share various experiences. I like my independence therefore I am not looking for anyone who wants a 24/7 relationship. It would just be nice to have someone I could call and see if their free to meet. If they are not, no big deal.
