About him
The arts are my life, specifically classical music and opera. I'm half Australian, and half Hungarian, and have lived in Sydney, London, Cardiff, Paris, Minneapolis and DC. I'm looking for joy and the sublime, and I'm not going to settle for anything less! This doesn't mean that I can't be relaxed, funny, silly, passionate, affectionate, challenging, curious or sometimes just quiet. I'm looking for a partner in every sense of the word. I value kindness, intelligence, humour (sic), patience, curiosity, a little naughty streak, a liberal and inclusive view, a love of all things artistic, a desire to be the best version of oneself, and to not be afraid to fail. If you love classical music, so much the better, but not a deal breaker!
I enjoy physical exercise (walking, running, badminton and I'd love to get back into tennis and squash), being in nature (whether it's a forest, garden, mountain or by the ocean), visiting museums, art galleries, stately homes, and any building of architectural interest or beauty.
I am not a fan of American football, and I find the competitive and tribal nature of much American sport to be more a negative force in culture today than a positive one. I am intellectually very curious, and wish that a higher percentage of the population valued serious education, the arts, social justice issues, civil discourse, empirical truth and secularism more... as well as humour!
