About her
I like to have fun, but even more than that I look for meaning in my life. I am a Christian and I read the Bible and pray everyday. I have a dry sense of humor which pops out at unexpected moments.
Speaking of being a world traveler, I grew up in Turkey, Hawaii and the Philippine Islands, went to one of the seven sisters, worked in a fighter squadron, lived in England for 25 years, and just recently moved here for work from South Carolina. England really screwed me up, and now I can't spell colour, traveller or marginalisation correctly anymore.
Since arriving in SF last year I have been involved with various Alliance Française events, dancing, and my church. I have a very living and vibrant faith which keeps me grounded through life's storms. I've met some great people here, and I work with wonderful people as well. I teach high school. Originally I was a French and Spanish teacher, now I teach English, Journalism and History and Literature of the Bible. I love to be out in the fresh air and sunshine: walking, cycling, and swimming.
I love dressing up and going out as well as staying in and watching a good film. I prefer tea to coffee and cocktails to wine.
I have three gorgeous grown children who are following their dreams in work and study. I love to spend time with them and interact with them as adults.
I know lots of you guys are worried that photos which are posted are fake, but just to set your minds at rest, my photos and dates of photos are not fake. I will say that people tell me I am very photogenic (that means I look better in pictures than I do in real life!) and sometimes guess my age as ten years younger than I am. My mom was the same; she was a model. My dad was asked by a Ralph Lauren representative to be a model for RL but he declined. So...it's in the genes...but how do they spell that in England?
