About him
Hello! My name is Louis. It is a pleasure to meet you! :) I am a half-German and half-French Canadian old soul, INFP, and substitute teacher who is passionate about history, the arts and spirituality. I am particularly interested in ancient, medieval, and overall pre-industrial periods, but also the 19th and 20th centuries, both for history and art. I studied English literature and Greco-Roman classics at university.
While my goal is to ideally teach at college level and share knowledge about our culture, my main aspiration in life is to quest after what I can only call the Absolute, in nature or sacred sites around the world, and share my relationship with it through my writing as a pilgrim-poet. I also love painting, hiking, and being close to nature in general so as to be inspired by it. Overall, I strive to have a simple, artistic, and spiritual life marked by compassion and fulfilment. I look forward to getting to know you and expanding my horizons through conversation :)

I'm not looking to rush unhealthily into anything too soon. Right now I would say that I am looking for friends, someone with whom to have a genuine and interesting conversation and bond. I think this is part of the great beauty of life; to be able to spend time with people you can truly cherish, trust and be yourself around, people with whom you can exchange values and happy moments.
