About her
Hello, I am the practical dreamer; I can be pragmatic, down-to-earth, capable, responsible, but also something of a spiritual dreamer who appreciates kindness and taking a compassionate view of human complexity in all its forms.
My friends might describe me as kind, caring, a very good person to talk to, witty and funny, good at problem-solving, thoughtful, creative, romantic, sometimes serious, a good laugh - bonkers even at times - and maybe a bit mysterious... it might take some time to get to know me! I have good, close friends, but am not what you might call a group person. I like going out but am equally happy hanging out at home and pottering.
Things I like a lot:
Dancing, swimming (pool good, outdoors better, sea best), being near (or in) water - sea, river, lakes, harbour - people watching, cities, the middle of nowhere/wild places, good jokes, bad jokes, talking, listening, making things (yus, I'm quite handy with a drill and a sewing machine, tho not at the same time of course), kindness, compassion, art, design, architecture, creative-minded people, reading a literary novel with a good plot (Kate Atkinson, CJ Samson, Angela Carter etc), children - mine and other people's, going to the cinema, listening to music - jazz, tango, jazz tango, soul, disco, all kinds of stuff - 6 Music at the weekends - Cerys Matthews on Sunday morning, walking in the woods, drinking tea.... the list goes on...
Things I like sometimes:
Cooking (I like eating, but done sooo much cooking over the years!), binge watching quality drama (House of Cards, The Bridge - you get the idea), cocktails, going to live music, theatre, doing up bits of old furniture
Things I'm really not interested in:
Watching sport, motorcycles, shopping unless essential, soap operas and I'm sure there's more...

About her ideal match
Ok, someone who's into some or all of the above likes would be a great start - it would be lovely to share some of the things I love with someone. A sense of humour and the ability not to take yourself too seriously are pretty essential. Maybe you are a bit mysterious too...? Ideally I'd like to meet someone who values a deep level of intimacy and connection.
I admire people who are practical, can and will do and make things, and bang a nail in straight.
I usually get on best with people who are interested in sharing conversation, wherever we are or whatever else we may be doing, but am comfortable with quiet and silence too, and also like a degree of solitude at times.
I do appreciate thoughtfulness and self-awareness.
I'm not in a rush to start anything long-term but it would be great to meet someone like-minded and see what happens.
