About her
Hi- My name is Rachel.
I am a music teacher on the High school and middle school levels. I love what I do...directing choirs and musicals. Making my students laugh is my favorite high. I will do anything for a laugh.
I am a classically trained musician but love music of most kinds. A chance to see a great movie or piece of theater and dissect it afterwards is one of my favorite things to do. I am not a writer but I love to write. Seeing a brilliant movie makes me want to write a paper.
I love the outdoors and the activities that go with it but am not all that athletic. I did, however, run half a block once without passing out and I am very proud of that. I'm also great at basketball as long as no one tries to take the ball away from me.
(I mean....Why can't we all just SHARE the ball???)
I am understanding and empathetic. I consistently make an effort to see things from the other person's point of view....including and especially in moments of conflict. I tend to look inward before I blame and never forget that there is truth to both sides. I love any artistic or creative activity. I love to bowl.
I am better when the bumpers are up.
Some of my favorite geniuses are Gene Kelly, Stephen Sondheim, Leonard Bernstein, Beethoven, Larry David, Jackie Gleason, Ella Fitzgerald and George Carlin. (I really miss George Carlin.)
