THE ACCOUNTANCY OF ACTUAL LOVE
Count up
the number of times
you have
smiled
Multiply
by each instant
of childlike
delight
you can
actually
remember
Add in
streams and
trailing banners
of joy for each
true caress
you have shared
with your loved one
For each real
kiss given and received
in which your souls
melted with ecstasy
add ten zeros
of absolute certain
void nature
For each kind word
or deed offered
even if not accepted
multiply everything
with a cloak
of compassionate
radiant heartfelt glory
For each thought
of redemption,
each striving towards
universal enlightenment,
each prayer
for others'
grace
to come
rainfalling
down
Sparkle the crystalline spheres
with brilliance beyond imagining,
You do not have
to subtract or divide:
always the dark void
suspends us,
recycles our misdeeds,
as space for future actions of kindness,
new insights of deeper learning,
storing fragments of dreams
towards original reconciliations
For each second
of each night
you have lain
with your true loved one
and enjoyed the bliss
across chasms
and the homecoming
to the most ancient peace
add myriads of diamonds
jewel clusters
of infinite beauty,
superessential gems,
perfect mind gold
Then,
finally,
when you have done all this,
and amassed your bright heap of joyous karma
in a thousand palaces of delight,
surrender it all at once
give it away
to the poor and the unloved
and the unloving,
to those sick and homeless
those without hope
abandoned victims of guile and warfare,
of secret dealings in high places,
refugees from faithlessness,
Give away everything,
share in whichever way you can,
and you will find
your account
mysteriously increases,
and your heart,
ever emptying,
is always full.
This is known
as exploring
the nature
of the pristine dharma
following the
path of true
humaneness
practising
the accountancy
of actual love
About his ideal match
She would obviously be a Goddess, passing through, with a brilliant mind, body, imagination, and heart.. caring compassionate and loving, but above all inspirational, creative and capable of taking higher leaps of thought.. definately not a box ticker, who plays by the boring and ridiculous rules that hem genius in on all sides.. someone who could emulate Oscar Wilde in going through customs ("I have nothing to declare" etc.) but who is also kind and good.. Someone who loves life so much, that they are prepared to take risks to assert the rights of libido over the rights of thanatos.. someone who does not suffer from Sophiaphobia, and if offered an apple by an Angel of Knowledge would say.. "Yummy, can I have two please !"
