About her
Hello, I'm not sure what to say during this post pandemic era. My regular livelihood has been axed and I am gazing at a blank sheet of paper. I am generally pretty upbeat, and usually live in the rural beauty of South Somerset. I am grateful that I enjoy writing -- perfect in these different times. I have a few published volumes which I promote online, although not as diligently as I should. My two sons live abroad: one in NZ, the other in Austria with his wife and new baby. My daughter lives and works in London. Family is very important to me. I am spending a lot of time with my recently widowed mother in Hampshire as she comes to terms with a more solo life in her late 80's. Clearing attics, garages etc is keeping me busy. We both enjoy exploring our local footpaths, and charity shops, finding interesting potential in both arenas. Unfortunately she suffers from Dementia, so I am becoming more tied as the months progress, although I hope to find some respite care soon. I am closely involved in alternative education, and I also like to sing; I am a member of a local choir in Somerset, but have been unable to sing in recent months due to my change of location. I am interested in all things artistic, eco, sustainable, recycled, holistic, foraged, spiritual & reverent. Readers may reckon this places me firmly in the 'hippy camp', which I can assure them it doesn't. I am not especially sporty, although I can ride, ski, play tennis.to an average level. I enjoy being in water. I try to swim three times a week if possible, although I have yet to get back to this. I love to walk silently, shhh. Twelve years ago I returned from six years in New Zealand. I love animals and have a small dog. I like to read - and learn - always learning. I love to share what I have learnt. I tend to be an instigator of community enterprise and have run several home-based businesses. I enjoy meeting people and networking whenever opportunities present themselves. Life is a thrilling adventure that keeps getting better, usually!."

Kindness and empathy are at the top of my list --- coupled with an interest in spiritual learning in a quiet, gentle way. And love of a rural, natural way of life goes without saying. I also enjoy exploring a new place and uncovering its treasures. I come from a classical background but enjoy an alternative, surprising twist . It would be lovely to share this with a partner. Physical, mental, and spiritual chemistry are important to me. Literary communication is something I enjoy; I love to share creative writing projects, or something artistic, as well as explore our beautiful world with a significant other.
