About him
I'm really not keen on this selling oneself lark, but needs must.... So, in a broad sweeping statement I'm a kind of multimedia artist and engineer - that's what it says on the tax return anyway. I've been in the comedy performing arts for 17 years, but I'm now tentatively moving back into conceptual art / sculpture and I have an exhibition lined up of new and old work which is very exciting. I also get commissioned for designing and installing sound installations in a wide variety of spaces, and I do quite a lot of inventing / making for worldwide customers for niche audio products. Basically it's a muddle of creativity that I enjoy - so I don't really regard it as work - it is just a way of life. A lot of work is associated with Dada, surrealism, philosophy and psychology - essentially I'm a maverick clown with an arty slide rule, trying to both understand and change the world.
I enjoy the outdoors, my allotment, canoe trips, art, film making, silly conversations, fixing stuff, music, camping, games, dancing, motorbike trips, and having a best friend to wake up next to. I don't like the stillness of being single, I need a partner in crime to share new adventures, love and the sofa. I've got all the usual trappings and none of the financial hindrances - I work when I want to, but alas don't play often enough... I'm currently building a campervan for some new adventures off into the wilds of the UK and maybe beyond.
I once pretended to be a German archaeologist to get inside a Mayan pyramid; ran away from the circus; hid out on a Caribbean pirate island; lived in a wood for 8 years; was dragged out of the foyer of the National Theatre on a cardboard sledge by a passer-by.
Behind all the complexities there is a very solid and old fashioned romantic .... I'm not Peter Perfect - he was 6'2" with a sports car and never farted - boy was he dull - and he didn't even have a ex-fashionable food intolerance to talk about at dinner parties !

I would like to find an unconventional, quirky, broad minded, creative, honest woman who likes travel, camping, motorbiking, prefers charity shops to chain stores, is happy to dance like a carefree fool to unfashionable music, steers away from fast food, enjoy personal challenges, treads lightly on the earth, and is a young at heart slim of build romantic with a beautiful smile, and plenty of passion. I am most inspired to be around people who are individuals, people who hear and follow their hearts - those that Carl Jung described as being on the path of individualisation.
I guess I am looking for a new start with a very special woman - and I'm trying to keep an open mind about what/who that be. I might consider relocating if you have a rather nice Caribbean island... but only if the Pina Coladas come in coconuts and not plastic bottles to ponder the recycling of.
I still feel that there is much youthful fun to be had doing all sorts of inappropriate stuff that will make the world cry out - how dare they have so much fun, don't they know life is a serious business !
