About him
Hi - I'm a retired RAF officer living in my own property in a village near Huntingdon, Cambs. I've now been divorced for 15 years and think it's time to try and develop a new relationship with a lady that will hopefully become a long term one. Also, I returned to UK a few years ago after living with a lady for over 4 years in France - a relationship that sadly didn't turn out the way we both had wished for originally - for no one person's particular fault. Despite BREXIT, France remains my much-sought after long term destination - it's a country that I feel so at home in, and love to spend as much time as possible in. As for a new partner, my ideal would be a single, widowed or divorced lady - of slim but shapely build, with a good sense of humour, who has at least some of the same interests as myself. A common interest in golf would be good, but not of huge importance - it's only a game after all! I'm keen to travel and see a lot more of the world than that seen during my long service career - I also love holidays abroad, preferably in hot climes - although I prefer to explore locations, rather than trying to toast myself on a beach! I enjoy meeting and making new acquaintances , preferably not from a similar military background to myself.
Finally, some 'do's, and 'don'ts' about my lifestyle! Contrary, apparently, to many ladies on this site, I don't list scuba-diving/climbing everest/ or sky-diving amongst my leisure activities - indeed, as an ex-RAF aircraft engineering officer I do not see the sense in jumping out of perfectly serviceable aeroplanes! On the 'plus' side though - I'm a bit of a 'foodie' and love cooking; however, I would much prefer to cook as a 'team' in the kitchen, rather than as a solo performer! Having refurbished most of my present property over recent years, I am very capable at DIY, and also enjoy gardening. Walking - both short and longer treks - help me to maintain a very good standard of physical fitness!

My ideal match would be someone who is happy in their own skin - with: a loving, tactile nature; a good sense of humour; relaxed nature, rather than any tendency to react stressfully to unusual situations that might crop up from time to time. Retirement is a time to chill-out, not try and adhere to timetables etc, and to take every day as it comes - looking forward to pleasant surprises and new things to learn about and enjoy, made all the better by far if one is in a loving and committed relationship!
