Hi, and thanks for checking out my profile …….
As regards how I most like to spend my time, - I enjoy heading outdoors most of all, preferably with company, but even on my own I can readily find contentment in life's simpler pleasures, such as observing nature, - the weather, the changing of the seasons, the countryside and its wildlife, but particularly being near water, - canals, rivers, lakes and most of all beaches and the sea in all it's moods ! I love tending and spending time enjoying my garden, too, though I’m no rival for Alan Titchmarsh !
Despite a sweet tooth, I manage to eat healthily for the most part, while the treadmill and weight training equipment I keep at home have long seen regular use and pay dividends in enabling me stay in reasonable shape, as do walks along the Taff Trail and in Forest Farm Country Park, both of which are close to my home in Cardiff.
When it comes to holidays, the U.S.A., where I have close friends (in Minnesota) is a country I never tire of visiting, though many less distant destinations find favour as well, and there remains much of the U.K. I’ve yet to explore ! Listening to favourite music’s always been a greater draw than watching tv, - a truly motley miscellany, taken from classical, easy listening and pop / rock of every decade from the fifties !
I enjoy socialising and dining out with friends and family, and rarely find myself at a loss for inspiration to keep me occupied, but still have ample room for that special person in my life, … someone who’s “on the same page” and looking for stimulating companionship to make the most of leisurely walks, trips and meals out, perhaps breaks and holidays, plus the proverbial cosy nights at home, not to mention simply sharing the general ups and downs of life ! … There’s lots more I could relate, but if any of the above resonates, and inspires enough curiosity to chat and discover how we might get along, it would be great to hear from you …… !

Given that compatibility in relationships so much depends on how that famously unpredictable factor of the personal chemistry works out, within reason I find it preferable to remain open minded rather than looking to compile a prescriptive check-list for an ideal match, and similarly try to avoid unrealistic expectations for a first meeting ……
That said, some shared interests and a like-minded approach to the fundamentals of daily living undeniably make for a promising start though, along with a sense of connection, and feeling entirely relaxed in each other’s company. Being able to become friends might itself be considered a rewarding outcome, with more than that seen as a very welcome bonus ! I'm not expecting to find compatibility on my doorstep necessarily, - within reason, I'm happy to travel !
