I love Art and 'Classical' music and hate most popular music and crowds.
I believe you should never stop learning.
One should always be considerate of other people.
I practise Hatha yoga
I am a 76 year old classical musician/teacher.
I have a degree ( or the equivalent of) in Fine Art, Education, Music and mixed art subjects (Drama, Literature, History etc)
I read and walk and garden and enjoy theatre, concerts, debates discussion, travelling, visiting art galleries etc.
I love animals and children, the latter only on a short term basis!
I like rural life (I live in the country) and have a lovely old house in extensive grounds.
I am not religious but very tolerant (even admiring ) of those who are.
I have expensive tastes and would sooner not do than compromise but I am always willing to negotiate!
I am welcoming, warm and interested in people.
I like luxury
I have been widowed twice. Both my men were older than me which is why I would like to try some younger ones! I nursed both of them at home until they died. Their quality of life and seeing them out was important . I met my second husband via Kindred Spirits and we were devotedly together for 16 years
I cannot stand cruelty or intolerance.
I strive for equality in everything and was a braless woman in the 60s!!!! (NB Not brainless)
I have short termed fostered in the hope it would give the children a different view of life.
I have taught both adults and children some of whom have been
challenged both physically and or mentally ; some of whom have gone to Oxbridge or music academies.
Plain speaking but with with consideration would save a lot of time and mis-understanding. (All right Ette get off your soapbox!!)

Some one who is interested in sharing the same interests or willing to introduce new interests into life. Sounds elitist but must be well educated, open minded and kind. In the old fashioned sense a well mannered and considerate gentleman or lady who dresses well in public but very casually at home. The cliched 'must have a sense of humour and a twinkle in the eye'. Politically interested (in both senses of the word) and has a mind of their own. (Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of the wise).

Physical appearance is un-important
I would find it difficult to be with someone who listens to popular music or needs a continual background of noise, even be it classical or intellectual.
Must be tolerant of my practising the piano for a couple of hours each day. (Plenty of space to escape)
