I...AM...BORED...! LOL -- no, really. Busy but bored. Have had some major life changes in the recent year and just want some newness in my life that brings joy and comfort. I'm also tired of doing fun adult activities without a good, male buddy. I go out alone A LOT--part of that IS my independence, but who doesn't want someone fun but mature and well-mannered to hang out with sometimes?
I love to travel but usually travel with my daughter now. That's our source of comfort...lol, being somewhere else! Would love to meet someone with (teen) children he has a good relationship with.
I'm a military vet and former educator. I lovvvve the arts and am founder and director of an emerging culture/arts/social impact nonprofit. I am also a writer--that is my true God-given gift, aside from some visual arts and just plain being an arts coordinator.
I love meeting, talking with and learning from people who have different cultural backgrounds than myself, as well as folks I share commonalities with. Most of all, my passion right now is connecting with global people of African descent, especially those who have closer origins to the Continent than myself.
But what type of friend am I...? Friends think I'm trustworthy and considerate. I'm kind of quiet and am an introvert, but I love to laugh. And I always try to lead with kindness and fairness and open mindedness. My friends can be themselves around me, but they also know I have interesting particularities, too, lol.
Have been a woman of faith for a long time, but would love to share this spiritual journey.
My outlook on life? Well, it's a bit blurry right now....I am forging forward on some very specific life missions, but on a personal note, I am challenged with mending from some significant family loss recently. So, for me, there's got to be plenty of color and laughter and Light in my life. There's more to me, but that's generally what keeps me going. What about you? :-)

The "H's" are important -- Humility, Honesty, Humor, and Height--sorry, the latter just is. I love men who have wonderful relationships, respect, and love for their mom's, grandma's, sisters and other women in their families, as well as their dads, etc. Just be a family person. Family is very important to me. And have manners!!!! Like my Daddy taught me to expect.
Never use the phrase "age is just a number"....I think that's crap and it's a complete turn off. Christian values, yes. Be a man of faith but over-religious. Someone who will pray with and for me.
Be understanding and open to the fact that my ex-husband and his wife are family to me. Would love to meet someone who shares the value that maintaining mutually peaceful, respectful relationships, when children are involved, is a plus. True, I had to grow into that, but it's definitely something I respect and absolutely love having in my life now. No baby momma drama. I caaaan't.
What's your artistic side like? Would so love to co-create -- share and be able to collaborate artistic gifts or at least, interests.
Have a healthy sense of humor. I like silly humor--being able to laugh at nearly anything, at the right times. That said, there's a difference in immaturity....that's a negative.
Good hygiene and health. Love a man who takes pride in his appearance without being obsessed with his looks or caring about high-end things, but have good taste and style. Love and admire quiet confidence, not arrogance.
I love really good conversations--from the simple to complex-- sharing stories, reflecting on life. Love deep talks. Honesty. Seriously--just be honest!
Last but not least, no cheaters please! So what would make our relationship work, is the above and more -- a special something I shouldn't have to describe. It's a special something about him that just makes him who he is. And I will see it.
