Hello and welcome to my profile. A little about myself and what I’m looking for...
I have dual nationality, British and New Zealand. Though I’ve never lived in New Zealand, I really appreciate the ease and beauty it offers. I love that the country has granted legal personhood to a river.
I worked in media, design and innovation for many years, but these days I am a therapist and painter, and my life is slower and more contemplative. I like it this way.
I love being outdoors and swim regularly on Hampstead Heath.
I like cooking, especially with and for another. I eat a plant based diet though I do eat some fish and dairy too.
I’m interested in art, poetry and philosophy and exploring the human experience. I’ve spent quite a bit of time on retreat and have taught meditation. I practise with a Zen group though I wouldn’t describe myself as a Buddhist. Increasingly I feel that my spirituality is nature based.
I love most animals, particularly cats and dogs. I had a golden retriever for 16 years and would love to have another dog hopefully in the not too distant future. I think puppies are the best fun ever.
