I have a great life - it's just missing a great man. Could you be him?
Why should you get to know me? Well, I can hold an intelligent conversation and can be very diverting. I'm a positive and independent woman with a sense of adventure. I'm up for most things, including trying internet dating. My friends' description: warm, funny, generous-spirited, highly intelligent....and beautiful - but they are my friends!
So what do I get up to? I’m a pretty good cook (Leith's trained). I love entertaining and throw a good party. I’m very social and am lucky enough to have many wonderful and diverse friends - but I miss the intimacy of that one special relationship.
There's not much I can't get interested in. I love being in London for all it has to offer - especially the theatre and galleries and the ROH. I have two great kids (twins in their 30s), now making their own way in the world.
I read a lot. Disappearing into a book has always been a source of joy in my life. I’m a member of three book clubs - one of which is in English.
Another big passion is travel. In December, I met up with the kids in Indonesia; chartering a houseboat to see Orangutans in the Borneo jungle and visiting the dragons on Komodo Island. Favourite past trips include Rwanda, where I met the hairy guy in my profile picture; hiking the Inca Trail to see the sun rise over Machu Pichu; Easter Island; the Northern Lights and the Ice Hotel in the Arctic Circle - although crashing through the ice into an Arctic lake on a skidoo was a bit too much excitement.
Rome is probably my favourite city. I do enjoy an ancient ruin. And I adore skiing. I'm never happier than when sliding down a mountain - preferably upright.
But all that aside, sharing a glass of good wine with an attractive man would also be nice. Please apply here if this is you!

The end goal is to find someone who thinks I am the most amazing woman in the world - and couldn't imagine life without me! And of course vice versa.
I prefer someone who doesn't take himself too seriously and is at least reasonably physically fit. I work out regularly - and am sometimes known to run.
I do mainly non-exec stuff now, so no longer work full-time. It would be nice to meet someone who has the time/flexibility to be able to spend some great time together and see where it leads us.
