Why should you get to know me? Well I can hold an intelligent conversation and can be very diverting. I'm a positive and independent woman with a sense of adventure. I'm up for most things, including trying internet dating! My friends' description: warm, funny, generous-spirited, highly intelligent....and beautiful - but they are my friends! I like good food and am a pretty good cook - Leith's trained - but I also enjoy eating out.
There's not much I can't get interested in. I love being in London for all it has to offer - especially the theatre and exhibitions. I have two great kids (twins aged 30) who are now making their own way in the world.
My big passion is travel. Earlier this year I back-packed through N Thailand, Laos and revisted Cambodia. In December I am taking a houseboat into the Borneo jungle in search of Orangutangs and visting the dragons on Komodo Island. Favourite past trips include Rwanda, where I met the hairy guy in my profile picture; hiking the Inca Trail to see the sun rise over Machu Pichu; Easter Island; the Northern Lights and the Ice Hotel in the Arctic Circle - although crashing through the ice of an Arctic lake on a skidoo was a bit too much excitement. Recent trips include Australia and driving the length of Croatia. Loved Dubrovnik but Rome is probably my favourite city. I'm quite into Ancient History and love an ancient ruin - my last visit to Iran was my fourth. I've reached the age where I can still do a tent or a home stay but am also up for a bit of stylish luxury. And I love skiing. I'm never happier than when sliding down a mountain - preferably upright.
