About him
I initially conducted a search, the parameters of which emphasized the terms "talk," "artist," and "friendship." Although I somehow crash landed here, I still sort of have that same want/need. Well, need is perhaps deployed unnecessarily, as I am not "clingy," so to speak, and don't know boredom, idle moments, or the discomfort of being alone. I have and create work/projects enough to fill my hours, those of an insomniac. But want is more orthodox in my usage here, and would certainly welcome another who wants or even needs someone with which to talk. Ok. To quote William Blake: "Enough! Or too much"
I am a force of highly focused energy, from my research obsessions (science, personal and professional), to experimental photography, writing projects, a fascination with space missions (& atmospheric physics, among others) that goes back to an evening spent with Cosmonauts in the NASA suburbs when I was 4, and my Mom worked on space-related projects much of her career. While I have OCD and insomnia, that just allows me addtl. time to learn, experience, experiment and indulge in other interests from cooking (curently refining my fascination of cooking with espresso and chili peppers, to music (appreciation of multiple genres, and I am a musician, have written about it since college, and was a radio DJ and Music Director). This is unique in my life experience, and feels rather awkward. I probably appear to be an extrovert as I move through public spaces, interacting with observations, one-liner jokes, et al., But I am actually very reserved, quiet, private... well, there's so much more, but I'd really like to hear about you. I'll start by saying there is no "type," not for me. I've never attempted using such a service before, but despite the length of anyone's list, I tend to believe that people simply sense, feel that intangible aspect, perhaps, if very lucky, the only other person, seriously, who could tolerate, adore one's quirks, admire strengths, understand faults, be a needed constant, et al., & vice-versa.
What I'm looking for are aspects of these, and someone quite cerebral, ethical, passionate, funny (silliness is encouraged, and possibly even an appreciation of Monty Python ;), OCD is fine (fair enough, since I suffer this "condition"), and inhabits this pale blue dot as an adult who doesn't suffer imagination atrophy, and retains a childlike sense of wonder, keeping them curious and always wanting/needing to learn more. Of everything that fascinates and has actual meaning in my life/multiverse, nothing could match meeting you. I will look forward to hearing from you, of course. Skal. 8^)
