I am good company flexible capable and good,neither boring nor perfect. Possesed of all the OK appetites,andam just thrilled tobits to be alive,
I've spent the last 9 years on the canals, I now bless the loss of my private pension .Because,
I've discovered the perfect life style, for the moment SEE UPDATE below
Renunciation s too strong a word for the things which I now longer do.
They have just become unnecessary or inappropriate - drinking, meat eating, driving, having enemies , , owning property.
While being very happy in every way, and very well in fact, -I am constantly reminded of how I often used to feel - Awful !
My dreams remind me that I am still a man . I would like to be a complete man - The Ying is missing....
II have a bus pass , a folding bike , and a narrow boat.
When necessary I use my coach card I will take the plane to Bergen in Norway where no 1 son lives -He is half Norwegian,
direct debits - I have 1 for the phone and that's it, - life is pretty much admin. free.
The canals take one right into City Centres . Manchester , Bristol and
Paddington Basin
I collect dry wood from the towpath - and bank the winter fuel allowance -
I used my bus pass recently to go and see no 2 son, who is also very appealing in his own way, in Bristol, from Hemel Hempstead. It was no problem at all. But then I'm used to long road trips .The ski coach takes 18 or 20 hours !and I love it . You see I don't really understand boredom - Sorry !

Work in progress -Just like everyone else !UPDATE.....I waved goodbye 2 years ago to the canals and -- I now live in a Great village 50 k from Plovdiv . A superb historic city in Bulgaria , where I also keep a small apartement .Life is v.interesting and very affordable.AND the climate is Super. AND its just 3 hrs from Stanstead UK -direct.
