About her
The World, Life and the Universe, I'm still asking questions and my wonder of things is as stimulating for me now, as it was when I was a child. I never stop wanting to learn and believe that we should all learn something new. I love life, all life, (maybe not mosquitos or wasps so much) and get so much enjoyment from the tiniest of things. Having lived in France for two years I would like to meet someone who is also interested in the World and all it has to offer.
With an English mother, a father from Malaysia (although from Sri Lankan parents), a Swiss grandmother and a Spanish great grandmother I am the epitome of a Heinz 57, or more positively, a citizen of the world.
I enjoy meeting interesting people, but also evenings in, watching a good film or foreign Dramas. Ceramics is a big part of my life, both sculpture and pottery. I love walking, the mountains, the coast or countryside. I would love to kayak again. I lived in the Lake District for 7 years and miss it lots. As a result I don't mind hiking in the rain.
When it comes to food I like to eat healthy and on my own would eat mainly vegetarian.
I love a challenge and can often be found planning, making or building something, I don't mind getting mucky. I can also dress up elegantly and beautifully for evenings out.
Friends would say I'm intelligent, compassionate and kind, but then I'd say that about them too, interesting and interested in life generally, as that's who I feel comfortable with. I'm forgiving and understanding but my dislikes are dishonesty, power and judgementalism.
I have three sons, two have left home, the youngest is at uni, so this is a new journey, which at times feels exciting but can also feel a little scary.
I miss hols with another adult to talk to, and share activities with. I miss daily conversation about current affairs, music, films, books unanswerable questions etc....
