I live and commute between S. France, Paris & UK (London) quite regularly. Raised in England but born in Paris so a mixed bag of grapes! I'm an artist (bilingual Fr/Eng), I use words and my work engages with the micro/macro outdoor landscape and/or interior spaces. I love contemporary art, books, music and adore humour in people - british self deprecating ironic comedy is some of the best. I also love Paris or the Cevennes mountains, or a beautiful garden or park. Still enjoy my visits to the chaotic bustle of London, my former city, N16 to be exact - the smells of restaurants open all hours, the seedy come-and-get-me streets, a damn good coffee (une noisette preferably), an art show, that contemporary feeling... or an english breakfast with marmalade on toast (I'll always say yes to a french made croissant). Next to you a scruffy looking broadsheet sits open on the table - an almost finished crossword puzzle (the 'quicky' to be precise) with a few blank squares beaming up at you. Three cryptic words starting with M. A. N. play on your mind for the rest of the day. A woman who you think you may have crossed on the metro the day before slips in front of you and whispers something interesting: "just three words"? Is this fate you think, even start to hope? Then you know like magic that things really are spaced, astral, not just of this earth; it's not where you are from or where you are going that is that important after all - we are all dots from a distance, from the moon we disappear from view altogether, 384,400km to be exact. I guess it's where and when and with who you cross paths with that helps solve and create life's puzzles.
