I am a fun loving Irishman (was there ever one that wasn't) living in York. I have a good job by all accounts and a book filled house overlooking the racecourse.
I love literature, theatre, art and walking (I'm 110 mountains into climbing all the Lakeland Wainwrights to raise £5,000 for Guidedogs).
I'm a decent cook although my oven doesnt appear to like 180 degrees and seems happiest at 250.
I have two kids in London, Rory and Matilda, who I visit regularly as luckily my job takes me to London frequently.
I am physically fit albeit not quite as fit as I was. I was a semi professional rugby player in my 20's but dont let that put you off. I enjoyed playing but not everything that went with it.
I think my friends would describe me as kind, fun, interesting and the sort of person you'd rely on in a sticky situation.
About his ideal match
I would dearly like to meet somebody who has that inner spark where we could have some sort of fun in everything we do, be it listening to music, walking up a mountain, shopping for groceries or staring at painting in the Louvre.
This is naturally difficult to lay out in a profile, I think that my life is fairly intense so when it isn't, all that is left is to make each other smile.
