About her
Behind my natural reserve I am warm natured, kind, creative, caring and honest. Twenty years have been devoted to raising my children and thirty five to my patients. I retired early and to be candid, find it very boring! I now have a hobby job every other weekend doing crafts and activities within a care home to give me a sense of still belonging in the world. I would like to spend my days out and about sightseeing and travelling with someone I can care for and who will care for me: or milling around contentedly at home together (your place or mine). I'm happiest in or by the water (swimming or scuba diving) or in my garden; walking in the woods; dabbling in textiles; singing in my choir; playing petanque and how, oh how I love to dance! I'm even planning on relearning my recorder and playing with a local group (albeit very low key). During Advent my floristry skills come to the fore as I create Christmas wreaths and run small workshops for the same. In fact, doing my City and Guilds in Floristry (just for fun) was a long held ambition and I'm more proud of it than any professional qualifications! I am best pleased by the simple things of life. Cities and noise are not for me (excepting visiting the most beautiful ones from time to time). I saw something of the world in my early thirties but would prefer to experience more of Europe these days, preferably in springtime or autumn as I prefer cooler weather. I am not casual and never have been in my personal life: I have self respect!

Well mannered, well spoken, tidily groomed as basics. Someone who has minimal ties and is free and able to enjoy life and adventures, be that simple days by the sea or walking in the countryside with a packet of sandwiches and a flask, or cruising to a new destination. It would be good to find someome who has complimentary interests so that we might grow and expand our life experiences together. What ultimately makes two people bond is difficult to define: it's not interests though they are a good starting point. It's an energy that cannot be written on paper or defined in words I feel. I am certainly seeking an emotionally intelligent and thoughtful man who is not in a hurry.
