I would describe myself as energetic, enthusiastic, creative, honest, independent, caring, demonstrative, optimistic, adventurous, interested, usually happy in my own skin and upbeat, curious and I hope a good listener.
I love the outdoors and been surrounded by nature in wild places, for outdoor relaxation I sail (but don’t have a boat now) I canoe walk and cycle all in a casual way, but I find them balm for the soul.
I love growing plants and looking at gardens, I have an allotment growing a wide range of fruit.
I enjoy looking at old architecture, castle, temples, churches etc, It's the hand made nature, the age and continuum of human use that is sometimes palpable in these places.
I read voraciously books that cover a wide range of subjects and areas of interest as well as novels.
I enjoy listening to music, going to gigs, or classical concerts, the theatre, looking at or creating art, sharing food, laughter, exploring foreign countries and cities and general travel especially by train.
I am a Potter by training, hence my connection to the arts, I have a motorhome which I use to explore parts of this country and the continent.

I am looking for an intelligent aware person with an outgoing personality who broadly shares similar values and some of range of interests that I have.
But, I am open to persuasion, of other paths, other places and other points of view.
I do enjoy the company of spirited people with well held rational views.
