About him
I've spent quite a few years living abroad but have now made the move back to England. So far I'd say life is good in London, although I've spent some time before living in the countryside and there are definitely parts of that I miss.
Zone 2 flats don't exactly come with massive gardens and a walk down the local high street is not quite the same as heading out into the fields or woods. But then the countryside doesn't have all the restaurants and cultural centres within easy reach. Going to need to solve teleportation to deal with this conundrum unless you've got a better idea?
My career started in physics but I've spent the last few years writing code in the "real" world, I'm currently at a fintech. Science is definitely still an interest of mine but I can't see myself going back to work in that world. I really enjoy my job now, it's that right mix of challenging and rewarding, but after all this work from home time recently I can't see myself wanting to head back in to the office five days a week.
Nature is a definite passion, I'm very happy with 99.9% of animals and would happily spend most of my time outside with them. I'd normally say I'm just as happy with a quiet night in with Netflix as going out, but for some reason I've been doing that a bit too much these past few months.
Like everyone else I like traveling, I've been around a bit but there are so many places left to go. I'm not the sort of person to sit in a resort for two weeks, but a couple of days relaxing on a beach in the middle of touring a country is always welcome. Oh and that other thing that everyone seems to like, cooking and eating, I'd class myself as a pretty good cook, it's something I enjoy doing and I'm also quite fond of eating good food.

How to write this without making it sound like a job advertisement? I'm looking for someone to share my life with, not someone exactly the same as me but someone to compliment me and work well as a team. I can be serious yet silly at times, so someone with drive and ambition but not take themselves too seriously would work well.

If you come with a dog, cat, monkey or any kind of animal really that would be an added bonus, but anyone dead set against animals is not likely to work.
