Kind & polite, easy-going, enthusiastic, respectful, good listener. Classically trained musician/community music director who enjoys all kinds of music and all things artistic. Like most people I enjoy travel - love to be high up in the mountains above the clouds - or just anywhere with spectacular scenery.
I may seem shy initially but I enjoy the company of people once I get to know them (as long as they’re the kind of accepting non-judgemental types) - I seem to have a natural ability to create harmonious relations with the people around me and the community choirs I currently run seem to love my energy and enthusiasm. I can happily stand in front of a huge crowd of, say, 100 musicians and feel totally confident and in control - that’s my comfort zone and the place where I most excel.
I used to be a full-time teacher but have stepped down/gone freelance to enable a better work-life balance. This means I now have much more energy for finding a partner/nurturing a relationship and giving more time to others generally. Having said that, my career is all about ‘giving’ to others, in terms of enthusiasm, confidence-building and helping people to feel good about themselves so I guess that pretty much sums up my general outlook.
About his ideal match
Someone who shares something of my artistic inclinations (ideally an appreciation or at least an openness to classical music and a broad range of other musical styles - popular/jazz/world music etc - it’s such a big part of my life, would be a shame not to share my enjoyment) but who also introduces me to something new - perhaps something more physically active, or whatever your passion is - I’m pretty open to trying new things.
Understanding and accepting of who I am, encouraging and perhaps a little more confident in ‘new’ social situations. But really, I don’t wish to be too prescriptive - I’d just like someone to inspire and excite me with new experiences and to be able to share their enthusiasm for life. Something so simple as a genuine, warm hearted, affectionate smile can be all it takes to win me over!
