About her
A friend recently observed that I'm a people person, sociable and interested in others' sensibilities. Some say I have a calming effect, perhaps because I'm a fan of slow living. Others perceive me as reassuring, steady, supportive, consistent and loyal. I think you might benefit from my tendency to be generous of spirit.
I'm an imaginative and creative thinker which is the basis of my life and of my practice as a painter. I view the world largely in visual terms, aesthetics are really important to me. So: I care about design; I'm fashion conscious and care about my appearance; I love exhibitions, photography and film; a rural landscape or an historic city capture me; I appreciate a carefully crafted and thoughtfully presented meal.
I am an optimistic realist. I tend to dream in a practical kind of way. I like to get about, living on the edge of town where a cattle graze and birds sing in one direction while in the other, a train connects to top class culture and rest of the world. I'm endlessly curious and enthusiastic about what's next.
Practicality, to me is fundamental. I will organise, plan, research and make things happen. I can make actual things too, from a spectacular Tarte au Pommes,(see picture) to a stripy jumper.
Keeping fit is a necessity to my life and I ensure it very enjoyably! Healthy food is delicious and fun to prepare, walking in the Dales is inspirational and uplifting - in all weathers.

For all it's excitement and satisfactions, there is a man-shaped hole in my life! I'm searching for a stimulating, thoughtful and companionable partner. A man with whom to build trust, to make me laugh, to surprise me. A critical friend even.
