About her
I'm not good at writing about myself unless I'm channeling it through a character. Cliche as it sounds, I love traveling. I've been to four continents. One of my life goals is to reach all seven. I'm also very introverted, though, and quite a homebody when I'm not travelling. I don't like going out just to go out (unless it is to a bookstore). I mostly read fantasy and sci-fi, which is also what I write. If I pick up nonfiction, it tends to be sociology, anthropology, or psychology. I currently work as a private investigator, and when I'm not working or writing, I like to study languages. I'm taking ASL classes at the moment. My conversation style is not always linear and often involves non sequiturs because my brain may be working through several things at once. I may spontaneously break into song if the mood arises. I love pickles.
I vacillate between humanism and misanthropy, depending on the day. Mostly, I want to believe that humans are better than how they often appear to be.

I'd like to meet someone who is passionate about their work and/or hobbies, laughs at the absurdities of life, and enjoys travelling and staying home in equal measure. Someone who will encourage me to be the best I can be and for whom I can do the same. I would enjoy spending time with someone, just sharing space without the need to always interact.
