In Her Own Words

About her

I'm looking for a boyfriend, someone special who makes me laugh and is preferably easy on the eye, who appreciates the Arts and visiting galleries, heritage sites, theatre, films etc. I seldom meet single attractive men these days, having worked as an actress/singer for over forty years and consequently passed the time with unsuitable theatricals. It would be refreshing to meet someone more normal for a change, who is maybe more traditional and emotionally mature - in other words a grown-up. Apparently I don't look or act my age, and therefore am often attracted to younger men, but the forty-somethings who have approached me on this site with offers of purely sexual relationships are not what I need or want right now, flattering though their attention is. I'm single with no kids (never married or cohabited), independent and self-reliant, happiest in the country and by water (preferably the sea) but easy with city life for short visits, very sensitive and empathic, a dog-lover but currently under the total control of an inherited cat. I'm a wholefood pescatarian who drinks wine and likes to bake, and I stay fit with a weekly dance class, swimming and walking. I still work occasionally on stage and screen, and perform solo literary recitals near and far, and as my work is my life I hope to continue until I drop. I watch television and films for work as well as entertainment, and enjoy books and most kinds of music, also antiques and furniture restoration/upholstery. I grew up abroad (middle and far East, Caribbean) but have never visited Paris or Florence, and I hold British and Australian passports - am planning to revisit Downunder early next year if someone would like to come with me! I have five artistic close siblings and nephews/nieces, and have lived on and off with my younger sister (currently in Hampshire's Austen country), but being an actor I'm also a gypsy and love change. My professional studio pics are five years old, the others are snaps taken last year.

About her ideal match

Someone my age or slightly younger/older with an open heart ready to love and share mutual interests, and who lives in the home counties or near London; someone good-looking and confident, educated, articulate, who loves the English language, is trustworthy and considerate, a non-smoker, and who loves to laugh; someone I can't live without, possibly for the rest of my days. Do message me, I'd love to hear from you.

What Her Friends Say

Joanna said...

This is her sister here. Bilbobags has always worked in the entertainment business as an actress and singer, and now also as a writer, so her lifestyle has not been conducive to suitable and stable relationships, mixing mainly with flighty and unreliable theatricals. I'd love her to meet a more normal man with a proper job, home, prospects, outlook etc, as she has much to offer - integrity, humour and dry wit, self-reliance, companionship, and good looks. She's very talented creatively, also a good vegetarian cook and baker, takes care of her health, and would greatly benefit from a stimulating and mutually supportive relationship. I heartily recommend her, if only to get her off my hands!
