About him
So now, having been rendered unemployable by my MA, I am a self-employed designer/artist/lecturer/maker/teacher/t rader of things and and anything else that people will pay me to do that doesn't completely stop me from what I want to do. I have my own exploratory niche that I like to make public, social, and am the way to making commercial but probably best not to go into detail here.
I have quite a tight-knit group of friends, but they seem to have entered a collective nesting/breeding phase that I fear will take them quite a long time to grow out of. I have a top notch cat that I excavated from the insides of a sofa when he was a few hours old, and he is one of my few concessions toward domestic life.
Music is very important to me but not, you know, the stuff they play at weddings and Magic FM. No, new, beautiful, innovative, nourishing, visceral, bassy music. If I belonged to a cultural tribe, I suspect they could be quite successfully defined as people who flit between radio 4 and Rinse FM (recently legitimised pirate underground music station). John Peel is the closest thing I have found to a role model.
I am a thoughtful sort with a dark, dry sense of humour, easy going, non-judgmental, left leaning, libertarian. I have a reputation for surreal fancy dress costumes.
I believe in trying and failing early, but I'm not always good at doing it.
