About him
Divorced in 1998, I was widowed in 2016, after caring for my second wife over 19-months of terminal illness.
I now feel ready to meet a true 'life partner', ideally - but not necessarily - to ultimately live together, while loving and cherishing each other unconditionally. I have so much love to give to the right lady.
I long to share and relish mutual love, emotional/moral support, companionship, closeness, togetherness and intimacy - all very much missing - that for me are so vital in a full, loving, caring and fulfilling relationship,....while appreciating that one's own space can sometimes be healthy.
I am retired, with my own home, car, hips, knees, and teeth!!
I have a married sister; 2 grown-up sons, and 3 grandsons. Family is important to me.
I have a young positive outlook and am a fairly relaxed, sociable, personable, confident, loyal, honest, articulate, intelligent, resourceful, dependable and secure person,.... sometimes with an enquiring mind, who does not take himself too seriously, unless the occasion calls for it !

Interests include (in no particular order) current affairs, cars, some sports, internet, DIY; listening/watching live most genres of music, tv, reading, humour; enjoy a good debate & fun conversation. I love being outdoors - walking, gardening - and good food & wine, out and at home. I can also 'get-by' in French.
I would again love to enjoy holidays, theatre, dancing, sea & river cruises, walks in the countryside/on the beach or just snuggling on the sofa with my special someone.
Two unrelated facts from my youth!.....
In the late '50s, I gained 'Junior' Bronze, Silver and Gold medals in ballroom & latin dancing.
From 1963-68, I was lead singer in my 'semi-pro', 5-piece band.

We may well know when we meet, if there is a 'magical' and often indefinable chemistry, mutual attraction and rapport between us,..... often not evident from a list of profile 'must-haves'. Should the friendship develop into the commitment of a special relationship, it should bring with it the 'best' feeling......knowing that your presence,....and absence,....mean something to someone....and making life more fun for us both.
A happy, warm, loving, caring, and emotionally mature person with a good sense of humour, and able to at least try to make me laugh! She looks after her appearance, health and general well-being; is 'oh so' tactile, and spontaneously enjoys such closeness and togetherness of being a couple. Someone who values connection, simple pleasures, and has a 'sense of play' about them.
She would feel comfortable receiving, and just as importantly, initiating both physical affection and intimacy........and still wish to keep that spark and chemistry alive.
