About him
I'm an easygoing guy and enjoy life's simpler things; reading, writing, playing music, seeing music, walking in the country, discovering new places, tumbledown old country pubs, rural festivals, chilling out.
Best of all, I like good, stimulating conversation, especially when it's over good food and/or a few drinks. I dislike small talk, celebrity gossip and so on. Bit of a thinker, which has its advantages and disadvantages!
I'm a jazz musician but love playing along to anything. I play piano, double bass and drums. I'm professional but since moving to a new town and starting a new job I haven't had much of a chance to do this.
I'm friendly, loyal, very warm (emotioanlly and physically), do my best to be compassionate and my friends call me 'Bear' because I'm large, a bit furry, slow-moving and good at hugging. And I love fish. I can also be intense when passionate which is occasionally read as confrontational, though this is never my intention. I very rarely get angry.
I haven't been exercising much recently due to a bloody hectic few months, but I usually enjoy going to the gym and learning fun skills like martial arts.
To meet me, you'd never know that I'm a chronic worrier - even my best friends have very little idea. When meeting new people, I like simplicity and really try to avoid complication.
