Hi there,
I'm 40, living in London and wanting to start something new. Curious about the whole online dating thing - here goes.
Currently a recent graduate in musical theatre (my dream) having turned my back on a 10 year career in accounting. I enjoy singing, playing music (bad guitarist & pianist but good clarinettist & would like to think I can sing), baking and making others laugh. Also looking for performing and other work in this crazy mixed-up recession. I am a sometimes outgoing, sometimes shy girl who likes being both silly and serious.
I have good friends most of whom gave up trying to understand me years ago. I have a tendency to be fairly outspoken given an honest question.

What am i looking for?
Probably a cross between Shrek and Han Solo but unfortunately I don't know any green men (though I did once date someone who painted themselves green at weekends - but that's another story). but I do have my very own Princess Leia outfit (though its not the gold bikini number).
Seriously now someone who is honest, who likes to laugh but also have a serious conversation, someone who isn't afraid to be themself. Someone with a wide range of interests which could be anything from particle physics and number theory (not that I will know what you are talking about) to the finer points of Viking funeral etiquette and whatever happened to normal lego.
It's always a bonus if you are musical in some way or at least artistic in some format as that is something I would like to share in a relationship even if it is only strumming a few chords on your beat-up old guitar late at night after you've had a few. Someone who likes physical contact, hugs, cuddles etc. Kindness always rocks my world and I think having integrity is one of the biggest turn-ons!
