About her
My friends see me as a good friend. My outlook on life is overall easygoing. It's good to go with the flow and to adapt, but at other times also important to stick out for what you believe is right. I am a warm person, who is a very good listener and who has a reputation as being caring and supportive. My main failing is having a lack of time, but this is something I want to address. I love life, that's my problem; I am someone who does a lot of projects!
I trained in the Performing Arts, made BBC radio programmes about the Arts, and now research the Creative Industries. I am also a middle-manager in Higher Education. I was in bands for years as a singer doing festivals and Art centre gigs (including the Savoy and the Ritz!).
I have two homes, one next to Borough Market (a section of a Georgian Warehouse) and one in the Languedoc in the South of France. I have also done up houses, restoring them, using natural materials where possible and respecting the period of the house. I also love gardening and have a tiny garden in France, but that's mostly instinctive.
I love going for walks, and being in the countryside. I also love city markets and Art galleries, theatre, and festivals of all kinds. I like to dance and am learning Tango. Last, but not least, I have a passion for short, medium, and long-haul travel.

My ideal match is likely to be engaged with - or certainly interested in - the world; whether that's in its history, culture, economies, social structures, or geography. He is likely to enjoy travel, and will probably read books. He will also have an interest in the Arts (theatre, film, music, dance...whatever). He is likely to be as happy in the countryside as in the city or town.
His wardrobe is likely to contain old trousers, a walking jacket and a pair of wellies alongside something smarter for an evening at the theatre or dinner in a good restaurant. There might also be sailing or beach gear knocking about in a garage somewhere, a painting easel or a bike.
Being open, honest, and kind would put the relationship on the right track. Being adaptable or open to new things, would ensure the partnership would grow and flourish. Having a sense of humour about problems or issues is also always useful! Seeing the hilarious side of things is always lovely.
I would like to share evenings out at the theatre, walks, DIY or gardening, supporting children or nephews or nieces, and assisting with interesting projects (restoring homes, standing in line for Amnesty, making fires on beaches, dancing in the dark, or whatever).
What I am not interested in is anything which is not of pure heart, of an ethical nature, constructive; anything which might step on someone else's territory, or which might be boring e.g. watching endless TV.
