About him
I know there's only so much you can learn about a person based upon text on a screen, but I'll try to be as informative and open as possible. I'm an English Literature graduate who has made writing a huge aspect of his life. I've released two short stories and one novel thus far, and I do delve into socio-political issues in my works which does turn away readers looking for a "light" read. But it's really not about making the £$£$s right now, more about just getting the work out there. Plus, any coin I do make from my already-released works I try to put right back into mine and other young writers' further projects.
Actually, I do a little bit more than just write... I'm currently getting my own indie publishing house off the ground, one which focuses on voices often neglected by the mainstream. This involves connecting with way interesting people from all walks of life. Also involves heapsa dedication, toil and yep, disappointment too. But I don't want to dive too much into the publishing outfit here as a lot is still being sculpted out...
I'm an ardent fan of cinema, particularly South Korean cinema, which I find impossibly poetic, dark and beautiful. I also dig literature and reading (obvs.), though perhaps surprisingly for 'a writer', I am more into comic-books than traditional prose lit.
Also, I totes dig BATMAN! Like, unhealthily.
I am actually somewhat anti-corporate and like to think there's a better solution for society than billion pound conglomerates overlooking utter poverty. I aim to try and raise awareness and support of women's rights, both through what I write and just in general.
Dig videogaming, cities (especially NEW YORK), America (both the beautiful and the ugly...I find the star-striped land a fascinating place), quiet moments of contemplation just to re-balance myself again, and immensities of other cultural stuff which I could probably write about for yonks. I also dabble in social activism beyond my writings and have attended the odd hairy anti-hate or anti-EDL protest.
